Librairie Le Bouquin was founded in 1995 around a kitchen table. Mr. Richard Losier, a businessman from the Acadian Peninsula who was very involved in the economic development of his community, entrusted the idea of opening a bookstore in Tracadie-Sheila to his five children.
He wanted to start a family business in which all his children would participate: Richard Junior Losier, Ronald Losier, Stéphane Losier, Nathalie Lainey Losier and Caroline Mallais.
For Mr. Losier, no community can evolve and develop without instruction and education. The goal of this project was to increase the accessibility of books and to promote reading in the community.
