In July 1989, Julien Cormier and Isabelle Bonnin created this bookstore in the Acadian Peninsula, one of the first independent francophone bookstores in New Brunswick.
Librairie Pélagie offers an inventory of more than 12,000 titles and serves the population as well as the institutions of the northern part of the province. It specializes in Acadian literature, music and genealogy.
